Guitar String 2 Skill Checklist

All Previous Skills AND

• Accurately describe the components of Flamenco and Caribbean styles

• Demonstrate consistently proper technique and responsibilities for left and right hand

• Perform accurately simple 8-16 measure songs on String 1 and String 2 while singing

• Accurately name notes on the staff and the fretboard using letters on String 1 and String 2

• Inquire about the relationship between the Lute and the guitar

• Read, write, and perform whole note (quarter note, half note, quarter rest) rhythms in 4/4 time

• Perform selections using dynamics (piano, mezzo forte, and forte)
