Pronunciation: Lay Puh-teet Vwah (IPA: le pətit vwa) or LPV for short
Les Petites Voix is a children's chorus that meets Tuesday mornings from 8:00am-9:00am during normal school operation, and Wednesday TBA during virtual learning. It is open to 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students. There are two semesters that run October to December and January to May, each one culminating in a concert performance at DKFI. In the spring semester 2nd-year members of chorus are invited to join in at PGCPS Music Day at Six Flags when offered through the county.
Students may join in October but if they miss the deadline or want time to think about it, we take new members in January. Members who would started in October and would like to return in January do not need to resubmit a permission slip. Members who wish to leave the ensemble should notify Mr. Cunningham as a courtesy.
Students should have a 1" binder and a pencil. Page protectors are recommended so that students do not lose pages of music and the music doesn't wear out before we are done with it. We have a small starter collection of page protectors that students can use but donations are always welcome. There are no initial fees but if students participate in PGCPS Music Day, it is around $40 for a ticket.
