Making the college decision - Which is the right school for you? Public or Private? Below I have listed the cost of attendance for Maryland's' traditional four year schools; Public and Private. On the right are articles for you to browse to give you some clarification about the difference between Public Schools and Private Schools. What ever you decide it has to be a personal decision for you. One thing to keep in mind, at public schools there is an In-State and Out-of State Tuition. At private schools the tuition is the same no matter where you live.
Your choice should take into consideration your degree program, your career interest and needs as well as activities. Remember to try and visit the campus before making a decision. Schools have several open house visitation days. Go to the schools website for the dates.
With the cost of education ever rising, I thought I would list for you the tuition, mandatory fees, room and board of all the four year schools in Maryland. This list is comprehensive it includes all public schools as well as private. This list begins with our public state schools in Alpha order and the the private schools in alpha order.
Listed are average costs for the 2012 school year, includes tuition, fees room and board only, it does not include other fees, transportation, personal fees or cost of books. This is an estimated cost to give you an idea of the cost for 1 year.
