Good Evening 8th Grade Parents,

We are excited about our end of the year activities for our 8th grade students planned by the EEJUST SGA, the PTSA and the Administrative Staff. Your student should have brought you home the letter last week detailing our two events for eighth graders. On May 31st, from 6:00- 9:00 pm here at EEJUST in the Multi-purpose Room we will have our 8th grade dance. Tickets will be $15.00 per student. Tickets will be sold during lunch starting this week. Please send cash or money order only for payment with your student. The cost includes, admission to the dance, light dinner, and a live DJ. We will have a photographer present for photo purchases.

All ticket sales are non-refundable.

The dress code is formal/semi-formal. For young men, dress pants, ties and dress shoes. Jackets are optional but encouraged. Young ladies dress length should adhere to the "fingertip" rule, and any spaghetti straps must be covered by a cardigan or sweater. All dresses must sufficiently cover the student's chest area.

Parents who would like to chaparone should contact the PTSA.

On June 7th we will have a half day of school. All students will be dismissed at 11:50. Our Promotion Activities will be held at Wise High School. All participants should arrive at 3:00. The program will begin promptly at 4:00pm and we expect the program to last no more than 2 hours.

The dress code for the ceremony will be pastel colored dresses, skirts or pant suits for young ladies. No spaghetti straps, halter/tank tops, shorts, jeans, t-shirts, sneakers or flip flops will be permitted. The young men will be required to wear dress shirt, with a tie, and dark colored dress pants. They will not be permitted to wear sneakers, track shoes, t-shirts, polo shirts, or track suits.

We will not hesitate to exclude those students who continuously demonstrate willingness to violate the Code of Student conduct from this activity. It is extremely important for all students to complete finals and complete the county curriculum to be promoted to grade 9.

thank you have an outstanding evening.
