Good Evening Ernest Just Parents and Guardians,
If you received a letter this week with a Recovery Packet and Contract enclosed, please plan to meet at the school this evening at 6:00 pm. Guidance and administrators will be present to discuss the guidelines that were explained to your student. This is a mandatory meeting for any student in jeopardy of failing for the school year. Please contact the Guidance Office if you have any questions or inquiries.
Next week we are going to kick off the Summer Reading Program partnership between our school and the public library, Ernest Just will be holding a Book Fair with a guest from the public library next week. The dates of the Fair are Monday, May 9th to Wednesday, May 11th.
During the Fair, students will be visiting the media center on one of those days to preview and shop at the Fair and hear book talks and about public library resources. Each student will be given a Wish List where they can write down the books or materials that they would like to purchase with the items' prices. They will also have an opportunity to sign up for a library card. Adult volunteers are needed to assist at the fair. If you have any questions or are interested in volunteering, contact Mrs. Bethea in the media center.
We will be having our Talent Show on May 25th. We are still accepting student participants, please contact Ms. Jones/Dr. Mebane.
8th grade students should have made the final payment for the end of the year activities. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Jones.
The Last day of school for students is June 20th. We will have a 2 hour early dismissal that day.
