DR. DALE BLAHNA

“USING ECOSYSTEM SERVICES AS AN ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNING OR DECISION-MAKING TOOL IN A LAND MANAGEMENT AGENCY”
Dale Blahna is a research social scientist and team leader in the Goods, Services, and Values Program of the US Forest Service’s Pacific Northwest Research Station. He is also co-leader of two urban sustainability research programs in Seattle: the Green Cities Research Alliance and the Urban Waters Partnership for the Green-Duwamish Watershed. Before joining the Forest Service in 2007, Dale was associate professor in the Environment and Society Department at Utah State University for 16 years. Most of his research has been in outdoor recreation and the application of social science principles and methods in natural resource planning and public engagement research.
