"All of the instructional resources can be found at Passaic Schools Home Instruction. For students in preschool through grade 8, the instructional materials are all available on our website. Classroom teachers will be communicating with parents and students regarding the assignments. For families unable to access the materials online, you may pick up hard copies at our resource centers (Schools 3, 6, 8, 10, 19, 21, or PHS) from Monday, March 23, 2020 through Friday, March 27, 2020, from 8:00 am through 12:00 pm. "

Grades K - 2 = Week 1 - Still Life Youtube Video Explaining "Still Life" featuring Super Grover ( A still life is a collection of things on a table or surface. For example a bowl of fruit or vase of flowers)
Week 2 - Self Portrait Self Portrait Tutorials When you draw a picture of yourself try to remember to put all the details of your face in, a neck, and a body.
Week 3 - Cartoon Character Cartoon Character Tutorials You can draw whatever character you like in any style.

Packet #2 (Begins April 20th)
Grades K- 8 Week 1 - "Symbol of Peace and Love" Symbols of Peace and Love Draw any symbols of peace and love that you know. If you are stuck for ideas this can be a starting point.
Week 2 - " View out of my Window" View Out My Window Look outside your window and draw what you see. If you use a tutorial make sure you change the picture to look like your view.
Week 3 -"Imaginary Animal Drawing" Imaginary Animal The easiest way to begin is to pick your two favorite animals and combine them. If you are stuck for ideas you can look at my visual aids.
Packet #3 (Begins May 11th)
Grades K - 8 Week 1 - " Word Art (Typography)" Think of a word that shares good vibes or positive thoughts. Draw the word in fancy lettering and turn it into a picture.
You can get ideas for letter styles (Called "fonts") from this website Fonts.com Also you can change the shape that the word fits into.
It can swirl around, or curve. You can put the letters into a star, or heart shape. Use your imagination.
* Make sure you can read the word (thats called legibility and readability). IT has to be neat and easy to read! Include pictures and symbols.
Not just the word by itself. It must be part of a picture with symbols and designs.
Week 2 - " Favorite Food Package Redesign" Redesign the package that your favorite food comes in. Use as many details as possible. Use the elements of art (shape, line, etc;)

Remember to make your package clean and neat and put the important details on it. The person needs to be able to clearly read what the product is!
Week 3 - " Creativity Challenge" Pick your favorite letter of the alphabet. Transform the letter into an animal using your imagination. Use lots of details!
It is better if you create your own animal from a letter using totally your own imagination. But if you are stuck here is a youtube video
that has an animal for every letter. If you decide to use the Youtube video please draw a few letter animals and not just one.
