Starting in the 5th Grade, students can Be Part of The Band. These informational videos may help you make a decision on what instrument you want to play. If your child wants to Be Part of The Band, they should return the form they received from our grade level meeting. Don't have a form - check with Mr. Stewart in the elementary band room.

ACQUIRING AN INSTRUMENT
Students have several choices when acquiring an instrument.
Students have several choices when acquiring an instrument.
1) Occasionally families have instruments that someone has played in the past. You will want to clean the instrument and disinfect the mouthpiece but often these instruments work fine for beginners. If you would like me to check out an instrument, please send it in with your child. I am at the elementary school on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings.

2) We work with Robert M. Sides Family Music Center is Williamsport, PA to get students equipped with the instrument of their choice. There is a monthly fee that varies depending on the instrument. The program is a rent to own program. The video below explains the program in more detail. If you have questions about renting - please contact the store directly at (800) 326-9450 or visit their website to start the rental process (link below). A representative from this store visits our school each week to deliver instruments and service the needs of students renting an instrument through their store. If you would prefer a paper rental form, please contact me and I will send one home with your child.
