Require students to take notes on classroom devices and then require them to send you, the teacher, the notes.For EVERY activity, provide a specific target for student focus.

Give specific options from which students must select one option.

Use fun games that apply to what you are teaching as incentive for students. Use competition as motivation by having all students play for 5 minutes and then see who has the best score.

Have a well thought out lesson plan which includes ways you have planned to use technology to support classroom instruction and engage students in the learning.

Have students download apps that will assist/connect them such as Google Drive, Schoology, Moodle, or whatever classroom management system they are using.

Use the tools and apps that the devices provide to make the lesson more interactive.

Have students use their phone for research and brainstorm on a new topic being discussed.

Have students create projects with their devices such as video, pictures, and documents.

Have students use cloud based tools to keep things organized and safe. IE - Google Drive, Dropbox, iCloud
