Virtual College/Career Planning Workshops from LEAF
College Application Series: College & Coffee - Wednesday, September 10, 2025: Room 606 @ 7 PM
An informative session for parents on the college application process including how to apply, order transcripts and test scores, letters of recommendation and Naviance. Parents of all grades are welcome, but most ideal for senior parents. *Seniors have a comparable lesson during PLC day on September 3rd. Presentation Recording 9/10/25
College Application Series: Common Application/Essays - Wednesday, September 17, 2025: Room 606 @ 7 PM
Get guidance on how to complete the Common Application and write a winning college/scholarship essay. This workshop will be interactive and students should bring their Chromebooks. All grades are welcome, but the workshop is most applicable to current seniors. Presentation Recording 9/17/25
College Application Series: Financial Aid- Wednesday, September 24, 2025: Room 606 @ 7 PM
Learn about the financial aid process (FAFSA) and scholarships from the financial aid experts at LEAF. Parents and students in all grades are welcome, but most ideal for juniors/seniors and parents. Presentation Recording 9/24/25
PSAT 8/9 and PSAT/NMSQT - Thursday, October 23, 2025
The PSAT 8/9 is given to all current 9th grade students to provide students and families an benchmark college and career readiness score. Students do not need to register or pay for this test. The PSAT/NMSQT is offered to 10th and 11th grade students for fee. Taking this test provides more practice for a college admissions exam and will track progress towards college and career readiness. 11th grade students will also be entered into the National Merit scholarship program based on their performance on the PSAT/NMSQT exam. 10th and 11th grade students must register and pay the fee for their exam. More information will be available for registration in the fall.
CCP Information Night - Thursday, January 8, 2026: High School Auditorium @ 7 PM
Learn about Ohio's dual enrollment program in which students in grades 7-12 take challenging college coursework and earn high school and college credit at the same time. The program is FREE for eligible students. Olmsted Falls High School partners with Lorain County Community College, Cuyahoga Community College and Cleveland State University.
Junior Parent Pathway Night - Thursday, January 22, 2026: Room 606 @ 7 PM
Information for parents of students who are preparing for college applications, vocational school and military. We will discuss the different pathways, financial aid what you and your student should be doing between junior and senior year. Parents and students in all grades are welcome, but most ideal for juniors/parents. Click here for presentation slides.
OAC in the SWC Field Trip - Thursday, February 5, 2026 (Current Juniors ONLY)
Juniors will take a field trip to North Ridgeville High School to hear a panel presentation from college admissions representatives from colleges in the OAC Conference including Baldwin Wallace University, Capital University, Heidelberg University, Marietta College, Muskingum University, Ohio Northern University, Otterbein University, University of Mount Union and Wilmington College. Cleveland National College Fair - Sunday, February 22, 2026 from 1-4 PM - Huntington Convention Center, Cleveland
This is a GREAT opportunity! Approximately 150 colleges and universities will be participating in the event as well as officers and enlisted personnel of various military branches. Click here for more information and to register
SAT Test Prep Classes through the Kelly MacLean Achievement Center - Mondays March 2, 9, 16 and 23, 2026. The class will be held at OFHS from 3 - 4:30 PM
This class is just in time for the SAT given to all Juniors at OFHS on March 24th. Master concepts for the SAT, boost critical reading and writing skills, break down math problems with confidence and increase your score. This class if for Olmsted Falls Juniors ONLY. The cost is $195. Spots are limited. Register here.
SAT Testing for all JUNIORS - Tuesday, March 24, 2026
The State of Ohio provides all juniors with the opportunity to sit for a college placement exam for FREE. Juniors do not need to register or pay for this test. The test is the official SAT and can be used for college admissions and scholarships. More information will be sent out to juniors and their families prior to testing.
Tri-C Freshman Day - Thursday, April 23, 2026
This is an opportunity for seniors planning to attend Tri-C next year. Students will go on a trip to the Westshore Campus and complete their freshman orientation. Students meet with their college advisor, schedule their courses and get their college ID. They will be all set for their first semester of college. The college is able to accommodate up to 20 students. Registration is first come first serve. Click here to register.

The Guidance Department updates the Scholarship List regularly AND you have access to the National Scholarship Search which has access to over 3 million scholarships. CHECK OUT OUR COLLEGE/MILITARY REP VISIT CALENDAR:
Students are welcome to sign-up for a College or Military Representative visit by logging into their Naviance account, clicking on the "Colleges Link" and scrolling down to the "College Visit" link. Visits may be in-person or virtual depending on the preference of the college. Most visits occur September - November.
