Desmond Cole and Robyn Maynard are two of the most prominent writers and activists in Canada who make anti-Black racism the focus of their work. Cole hosts a radio show in Toronto and recently published The Skin We're In. Maynard is a PhD student and community activist who splits her time between Montreal and Toronto. Policing Black Lives is her comprehensive history of Canada's role in fostering the oppression Black Canadians. Both writers' books are available to borrow from the WHS Library.
