The library's collection is divided into many different areas. Stickers are used to provide a visual clue as to what might be found inside and what kind of audience the book is aimed at.
Books marked with this symbol indicate titles that are geared towards English Language Learners as well as readers looking for books with less challenging vocabulary. Non-fiction books with these stickers tend to have more images and graphic elements than writing and text.
The library has a large graphic novel collection (located under the framed vintage Iron Man comic book cover). Titles in this collection can be fiction or non-fiction.
The largest collection of fiction books in the library are found in the teen section. Here you will find books aimed at students aged 13-16
We have a considerable number of Canadian novels in our collection, partly because there are so many good Canadian books that people should be reading and partly because every ENG 4U student is required to read a Canadian novel of their choosing in order to meet the course requirements.
When using Alexandria Researcher to find a book in the collection, click on "Show Copy Information" when you're looking at the details for the book you want to find out in which sub-collection you will find the book.
