Before we get started, look at the following tutorial for some inspiration to create something amazing.
We have spent seven hours learning how to use photoshop/photopea. The expectation of our following assignment is that you will demonstrate those skills in the creation of this project. Use one or more of the above tutorial as inspiration and techniques that you can apply to the following project.
For this project, you will find a cover that you like the layout of using a google search. You will use this cover as your template to help you place the title, other text elements and the image.
You will need to take a photo of someone for your cover. Since you will need to remove the background of this image, be sure to pick a location that will allow you to have the best results.
Your cover should use the real cover as a guide to help you follow the rules of CRAP. Magazine companies pay their designers to ensure their cover will stand out.
Your cover will need to go beyond the design and display your photoshop skills. All items on your poster must be school appropriate.

Create a new document. Cover size 8 x 10.5 inches with a resolution of 300 and a transparent background. Create a new folder called magazine. Save the magazine cover as Magazine_Cover_Yourname.
Find magazine examples on the internet and look at how they are set up.

Take your pictures and copy them to your magazine folder.
Use your acquired skills and other tutorials to make your image stand out from the crowd.
Begin to think of articles that you would include in your magazine about issues that concern your cover person, personal goals, and ambitions, or just ordinary things in life that are important to them right now.
Create a background that fits with your theme.
Once your background has been inserted with your dominate photo, make sure to use select and mask and try some filter effects – try the spotlight or lens flare. Consider putting a shadow of yourself if appropriate. You may use tutorials to help with this.
Add your title. Try to match it with your template. Make sure it all fits your theme.
Finish designing your background (any sidebars, shapes, etc.) before proceeding.
Insert the issue date and volume number.

Use your article teaser image and adjust or select as necessary. It must be the item only with no background.
Continue to add all your other elements.
Use your imagination and creativity. It MUST look like a magazine cover.
