The Nineties

The story of the NSSA in the 1990's is best conveyed by looking at back copies of School Sailing Matters - The Magazine of the National School Sailing Association. The editor (me - Nigel Vick - vested interest) made every effort to include the results of NSSA Events, as well as including articles of interest to the members. At some time during this period the requirement to publish the minutes of committee proceedings, which did not make the most riveting of reading, was removed. At this time the NSSA ran a Hi-Fliers Course at Easter (this was before Squad Training). A Conference in November, as well as the Championships (which were hosted at Grafham before returning to Oxford) the Regatta and Team Racing in doublehanders. We also published a number of advisory leaflets such as Why Sail? and a new issue of Safety Afloat as well as a series of Wordsearches were also published and can be accessed on the Publications Page
