College Representative Visits to South: Each year, representatives from various colleges come to Nashua South to meet students. Students should check Naviance to sign up for a College Visit.
Fall Events-
College Information Night: Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at 6 pm in the South Auditorium
College Information Night is specifically designed for current seniors and their parents/guardians. Counselors will discuss the college search process and admissions criteria for the four-year school application process using the Common App and Naviance.
PSAT/NMSQT: Wednesday, October 22, 2025. (This is a school day event; registration is required)
Registration for the upcoming fall PSAT/NMSQT opens on "date to be announced".
This PSAT is designed for juniors who want to prepare for the spring SATs or qualify as a national merit scholar. The PSAT is a digital test. Student will use their school-issued Chromebooks.
The cost is $20. There is limited space available. Please see your school counselor or Mr. O’Mahony in A1003 for registration details.
Nashua South College Fair: Monday, October 20, 2025, from 6 pm- 7:30 pm in the Nashua South Gymnasium
Approximately 200 colleges from across the country will be in attendance to answer questions and provide information. The College Fair is a perfect event for seniors who are still working to finalize college applications. At the same time, the fair is an opportunity for underclassmen to learn about college options and jump-start their college search
Financial Aid Night: Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 6 pm to 7:30 pm, in the South Auditorium
The Financial Aid Night, families will learn the ins and outs of the financial aid process. The following topics will be covered: FAFSA form and requirements, types of aid, and more. For more financial aid support, go to the class of 2024 page for a video tutorial on filing the FAFSA.

Apply NH Day (formerly College Application Day : Wednesday, November 12, 2025, in the Career Center during the school day
On this day, students can apply to all NH Colleges and waive the application fee. Students must have completed all parts of the application. For more information, speak to your school counselor.
Spring Events
Young Alumni Day: TBD during the school day
Alumni return to talk about their first year of college and what they've learned.
Course Selection Night: Thursday, January 29, 6 pm - 8 pm in the Auditorium (SNOW DATE: TBA)
This event is designed for current high school students and their parents/guardians. At this evening event, we will review the course selection process, discuss teacher recommendations, and review new courses for the coming school year.
Students will have time during the school day to meet with their counselor to select courses and review their graduation progress.

8th Grade High School Course Selection Night: Tuesday, March 5, 2026, 6 pm - 8 pm in the South Auditorium (Snow Date: TBA)
This night is for middle school students and their parents/guardians to learn about the course selection process.
Counselors will be visiting McCarthy, Fairgrounds, and Pennichuck Middle Schools during the school day to meet with students about the course selection process.
The middle school course selection window will be open from TBA. Students who attend private or charter middle schools will not be able to complete the online course selection process, but at the time of registration, will be given a course selection worksheet to complete course selection.

This night is for current Juniors and their parents. The NH Higher Education Foundation will be presenting information about college search and the application process.
