College Representative Visits to South: Each year, representatives from various colleges visit Nashua South to meet students. Students should check Naviance to sign up for a College Visit.

Fall Events-
College Information Night: Wednesday, September 23 2026, at 6 pm in the South Auditorium
PRESENTATION SLIDES (available after the event)
College Information Night is specifically designed for current seniors and their parents/guardians. Counselors will discuss the college search process and admissions criteria for four-year school applications using the Common App and Naviance.
PSAT/NMSQT: Wednesday, October 21, 2026. (This is a school day event; registration is required)
Registration for the upcoming fall PSAT/NMSQT opens on "date to be announced".
This PSAT is designed for juniors who want to prepare for the spring SATs or qualify as a national merit scholar. The PSAT is a digital test. Student will use their school-issued Chromebooks.
The cost is $20. There is limited space available. Please see your school counselor or Mrs. Brown in Upper C Guidance for registration details.
Nashua South College Fair: Monday, October 26, 2026, from 6 pm- 7:30 pm in the Nashua South Gymnasium
Numerous colleges from across the country will be in attendance to answer questions and provide information. The College Fair is perfect for seniors who are still finalizing college applications. At the same time, the fair is an opportunity for underclassmen to learn about college options and jump-start their college search.
Financial Aid Night: Thursday, October 15, 2026, from 6 pm to 7:30 pm, in the South Auditorium
We have invited a representative from NH Edvance to explain the financial aid process. Families will learn the ins and outs of the financial aid, including the FAFSA form and requirements, types of aid, and more.

Apply NH Day (formerly College Application Day : TBA, in the Career Center during the school day
On this day, students can apply to all NH Colleges and waive the application fee. Students must have completed all parts of the application. For more information, speak to your school counselor.
Spring Events
Young Alumni Day: TBD during the school day
Alumni return to talk about their first year of college and what they've learned.
Course Selection Night: Wednesday, January 27, 2027, 6 pm - 8 pm in the Auditorium (SNOW DATE: Thursday, January 28)
This event is designed for current high school students and their parents/guardians. At this evening event, we will review the course selection process, discuss teacher recommendations, and review new courses for the coming school year.
Students will have time during the school day to meet with their counselor to select courses and review their graduation progress.

8th Grade High School Course Selection Night: Wednesday, March 3, 2027, 6 pm - 8 pm in the South Auditorium (SNOW DATE: Thursday, March 4)
This night is for middle school students and their parents/guardians to learn about the course selection process.
Counselors will be visiting McCarthy, Fairgrounds, and Pennichuk Middle Schools during the school day to meet with students about the course selection process.
Students who attend private or charter middle schools will not have access to the online course selection portal. However, at the time of registration, families will be able to complete a course selection worksheet.
