Class Rank and Grade Point Average (GPA)
The Board of Education has adopted the following changes to the Grade Point Average (GPA) and Class Rank:
For the classes of 2025, and 2026
The student grade point average (GPA) is calculated using a weighted method (see below).
The weighted GPA is based on all courses that carry a weight of Foundations, Extensions, Honors, and AP that are taken at Nashua High School North/or South. Students earn quality points based on the final grade and level of the class.
Academic Awards for the class of 2025, and 2026
Academic success will be measured based on a Cum Laude system.
Summa Cum Laude: 30 credits with a 3.75 - 5.00
Magna Cum Laude: 30 credits with a 3.50 - 3.74
Cum Laude: 30 credits with a 3.25 - 3.49
For the class of 2027
The student grade point average (GPA) is calculated using an unweighted method (see below).
The unweighted GPA is based on all courses that were taken at Nashua High School North/or South. Students earn quality points based on their final grades.
Academic Awards for the class of 2027
Academic success will be measured based on a Cum Laude System.
Summa Cum Laude: 30 credits with a 3.75 - 4.00
Magna Cum Laude: 30 credits with a 3.50 - 3.74
Cum Laude: 30 credits with a 3.25 - 3.49
