Physical Education
1. Clothes for Class. T-shirt, Gym Shorts or Warmup Pants, Athletic Shoes (No skateboarding shoes,
DC’s, Airwalks, Osiris, etc.) (Shoes must be laced up and tied).
- Students must change clothes before and after class. The reason for this is hygiene and that
some clothes will hinder the students ability to participate.
- The school dress code applies to all P.E. clothes as well.
2. Grading. The student will receive 5 points each day they are in P.E. They will lose points if
they do not meet the objectives or expectations for that day. It is possible to lose
more than 5 points in one day. Below is a list of objectives and expectations along
with the number of points that can be lost for not meeting them.

A student not dressed for P.E. will ride an exercise bike following warm-ups. If they ride four miles one point will be added to their grade. If they ride five miles two points will be added. If they do not meet the required distance they will repeat this during the next P.E. class.
If a student is failing at progress report time they will be given the opportunity to raise their grade through alternative P.E.
