MEMBERSHIP QUALIFICATIONS:

Students must complete the application and meet the following criteria:

• 1. Cumulative average of at least 3.5 in core Social Studies classes and Social Studies electives in high school credited classes through 10th grade, and the first semester of 11th grade.

  2. Responsibility for Learning

  3. Reliability

  4. Critical Thinking Skills

  5. Character

Each applicant will submit:

• 1. A completed application

  2. A print out of his/her academic transcript from the Parent Portal

  3. A payment of $10 in a sealed envelope labeled with applicant’s name

Once inducted, students will be expected to continue producing quality class work. All members will be required to participate in AT LEAST two Social Studies Honor Society events throughout the year to remain in good standing. Members must earn the Seal of Civic Readiness.
