5th-grade students identified for AIG services are pulled in a small group for reading during the DIVE block and math during the power-up block. Both of these blocks are school-wide times dedicated to enrichment and intervention. Therefore, no core content is taught in the classroom during this time, so AIG students will not miss any information or need to make up any work.
AIG instruction will enrich and extend the NC standards taught in your child's classroom. The classroom teachers and I work closely to be sure that our instruction is directly aligned and complimentary.
