NFV Grading Guidelines
To improve student learning
Grading should communicate students' current level of learning based on standards.
Grades are based on summative rather than formative.
Use a finite number, not to exceed seven, of the performance scale (1-4).
Students should have multiple opportunities to demonstrate learning through formative and summative assessments.
Employability skills that address student learning behaviors are scored separately from academic performance and are not calculated into course grades.
Students will be provided ongoing and frequent feedback on their learning.
