Colleges and tech schools visit intermittently throughout the school year. Announcements will be made when representatives will be here. Students must sign up in the Counseling Center to visit with representatives.
College/ Technical School Campus Visits
Seniors and Juniors are encouraged to visit colleges or universities they might be interested in attending. Students must complete a College Visit Permission Request and turn this form into the Counseling Center BEFORE the scheduled college visit (the form can be found at the bottom of this page). Attendance will be listed as verified until the student brings back a signature from a college representative on the verification form (second page). At that time, the attendance will be listed as an official college visit and will not be counted against the student's attendance history. Students are allowed two visits during their junior year and two visits during their senior year. Also, take advantage of PD Days to tour colleges.
College Fair- October
Juniors and Seniors are invited to attend the Four States Regional College Fair scheduled in October. The fair will be held in the Leggett & Platt Athletic Center on the Missouri Southern State University campus in Joplin, Missouri. Over 70 different colleges, universities, and technical schools will be there. NHS Counseling Center will be offering transportation for students to the fair. More information to follow.
