Northeast Metro 916’s enterprise version of Schoology comes with built-in tools that lets teachers and students record and post audio or video---right in Schoology, without any extra steps or the need to use additional software applications. This can be a powerful way to make learning more immediate and personal. With audio or video, the teacher can reach beyond traditional text-based ways of presenting information, engaging multiple modalities and learning preferences, and providing personalized feedback to students. It provides opportunities for students to practice speaking and listening skills. And, perhaps most importantly, it’s great differentiation to provide students additional options to show what they know.
