1 - Formatting
-Each lab report should have a title that gives the reader a sense of what the lab is about. It should be brief, but informative. ("Investigating Momentum Conservation with Collision Carts" would make a better lab title than "Momentum Lab")
-All formal lab reports should be typed. The only thing that is allowed to be hand written are the calculations in your data section.
-There should be 5 lab sections, labeled with a header, in this order: Introduction, Hypothesis, Procedure, Data, Conclusion (click on each section for more detail)
-The lab should be written in the 3rd person, so do your best to avoid "I" and "we" statements. (you will not lose points for mistakes with this)
-For citing outside sources you need to do two things:
a) put the authors name and the date of publication in the paper, after the reference. See this website for tips and examples.
b) have a complete bibliography at the end of the lab. See this website for tips and examples. Feel free to use Noodle tools.
