How are fictionalized characters and real people changed through conflict?
Students read historical fiction and informational text about the Revolutionary War and compare and contrast the ways in which characters and people are changed by historical events. In order to gain a deeper understanding of the period beyond what is addressed in print, students engage in a simulation which allows them to take on the point of view of someone who lived during the time period.
