is offering academic support after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30-4:15 for grades 1-6. Students that participate in tutoring may receive after school meals. Students that register for tutoring can transition to the Crossroads program after tutoring. Register for tutoring here.

Highgate Crossroads Class Descriptions
Spring Session 2026 - March 9 to June 4 for Grades 4-6
MONDAYS
-ARTSY!: Miss Deso-Walker is excited to offer some artsy time where we will get together and have a craft hour. (grades 4-6)
-COMMUNITY CREW: Ms. Steph will oversee the prop making for the Spotlight show put on by Highgate Actors’ Theater and when you aren’t busy helping out Ms. Ernie, you can help others in the building with tasks. (grades 3-6)
-DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: Sit down, roll the dice and get lost in the story told by your Dungeon Master, Mr. Landen. Fighting creatures, saving villagers, collecting treasure and more is waiting in this super fun and wild role-playing adventure and the kids absolutely love it! (Grades 5-6)
TUESDAYS
-DIAMOND ART RETURNS!: The newest and greatest is diamond art! There are so many cool things to make with this craft. It is just like color/paint by number, but instead we will use shiny colorful diamonds. (grades 3-6)
-GAMING CLUB: Miss Deso-Walker will have lots of games such as board games, cards, puzzles and more. Bring your patience and be ready to be a team player. (grades 4-6)
-HIGHGATE ACTORS’ THEATER: Ms. Ernie will be ready with yet another fantastic Spotlight Production! Join and find out all the fun that can be had. This session, Mrs. Bartlett will be joining in on the fun! MUST attend both Tuesdays and Thursdays. There will likely be a few Saturday dress rehearsals when we get closer to the performance. (grades 2-6)
-MESSY GOODNESS: Ms. Erin will allow you to get messy while learning some cool STEM lessons. Be prepared to use your thinking cap and be willing to work together when testing out predictions. (grades 4-6)
WEDNESDAYS
-HOBBY TIME: Ms. Steph will have a theme each week that will range from sewing, jewelry making, coloring, wood burning, painting and more. You will have something to look forward to with a weekly surprise. (grades 4-6)
-STEM ADVENTURE: Miss Morgan will be working with materials granted to us by VT Afterschool, allowing us to bring you a wonderful NEW STEM class. (grades 4-6)
-THEMED BEADING: Miss Brooklyn will have a theme each week with beading projects planned that will challenge you and amaze you when you see the finished product. (grades 3-6)
THURSDAYS
-HIGHGATE ACTORS’ THEATER: Ms. Ernie will be ready with yet another fantastic Spotlight Production! Join and find out all the fun that can be had. This session, Mrs. Bartlett will be joining in on the fun! MUST attend both Tuesdays and Thursdays. There will likely be a few Saturday dress rehearsals when we get closer to the performance. (grades 2-6)
-OPEN SPACES: Mrs. Bellrose will have a safe space for you to come hang out after a busy day and do some cool stuff with your friends. This unwinding time will be a great way to end the week of Crossroads. (grades 4-6)
Highgate Explorers Class Descriptions

-TEAM TIME ADVENTURES: Join Mrs. Bellrose and Ms. Erin for fun-filled team time games and a walking challenge! We will work together to have a great time and meet our team step goal. (grades 1-3)
TUESDAYS
-CRAFTY TIME: Join Mrs. Bellrose for crafting. These are projects we aren’t able to do during the school day so it is bound to be a ball of a time! (grades 1-3)

-AFTER SCHOOL SPROUTS AT HIGHGATE LIBRARY: Join us where stories take root and curiosity blooms! This hands-on series invites our student naturalists to trade their screens for green scenes, digging, discovering, and growing alongside their favorite books. They’ll do more than just plant seeds—they’ll become the architects and caretakers of our very own 'backyard' library garden, a thriving space for everyone in the community to enjoy! From tiny seeds to tall tales, join us as we cultivate a shared space where every sprout—and every student—can flourish. (grades 1-3)
