FAQs

Q. How do I go about appealing a grade that I've gotten with which I disagree?

A. Good question! The first step is to contact the professor who gave you that grade and try to work with them to see if there's a chance there was a mistake with your grade. Because most professors are unavailable during the summer, the administration recognizes this and there's no real rush on disputing a grade. The process can begin up to 30 days into the next semester, to give both you and the professor a chance to get back into town. If there is still disagreement on the grade and you would like to start the formal appeal process, fill out this form and submit it to the registrar's office. More information about the process of appealing a grade can be found in the Graduate Bulletin.
