CURRENT BAND STUDENTS
For students with one year of band experience (going into 6th grade). Intro. to Middle School Band begins on July 7. The session runs for 4 weeks, Mondays-Thursdays from 12:00-12:45 at Chippewa and Edgewood Middle Schools. The fee is $122. Online Registration will open on Tuesday, March 18. ATTENTION 4TH GRADE PARENTS
Starting the summer after 4th grade your child can begin participating in Band! About 90% of band students start the summer after 4th grade. There will also be an opportunity to start in the fall of 5th grade.
The SUMMER BEGINNING BAND PROGRAM consists of a 45-minute small-group lesson, Mondays through Thursdays, for four weeks starting July 7 through July 31. We cover about a half-year's worth of material in four weeks. The fee is $158. Summer Band lessons will be offered at various sites throughout the district. Morning and evening times will be available for all instruments. Scholarships are available for families who qualify (contact your band director for more information). Students may choose from the following band instruments: Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Baritone, Tuba and Percussion. School instruments are available for students with financial need.

Stop by anytime between 5:00-7:00 PM to meet our district band directors if you’d like assistance with registration and to rent a band instrument through one of our reputable music vendors.
For all summer band programs, scholarships are available for students who qualify- check with to your band director for more information. Registration closes on June 13.
Students who are unable to participate in the summer beginning band program will have opportunities to learn the instruments and play in the band when school resumes in the fall.
