Pinewood Band
Band Schedule
Small-group lessons are scheduled during the day on Wednesdays. Each student receives one 30-minute lesson each week. Lessons will begin the week of September 18.
Large-group rehearsals are on Wednesdays before school from 7:35 to 8:30 at Edgewood Middle School. Students are expected to attend all morning rehearsals beginning the week of September 25. Students will be offered free bus transportation to Edgewood on the regularly scheduled Edgewood bus service in the morning as well as a return bus back to Pinewood after rehearsal. Families may provide their own transportation as desired.
It is district policy that band instruments that will be allowed on the bus are those that can be safely carried in a bag and/or are small enough to be held on the student’s lap. Instruments may not block the aisle; nor interfere with the space or take the place of another student. While a flute or clarinet is small enough to fit these guidelines, a French horn, baritone or tuba will not. Parents are encouraged to transport larger items in their own vehicles. If the above guidelines, for transporting musical instruments, creates a hardship for your family please contact the Transportation Office at 651-621-6027.

West Side Band Festival:

Spring Concert:
Thursday, May 9, 7:00-8:00 PM at Edgewood Middle School
