About the Director

Mrs. Brenda Sorem grew up in The Mounds View School District where she attended Pike Lake Elementary, Highview Junior High and graduated from Irondale High School in 1993. After receiving her teaching degree in Instrumental Music from St. Olaf College, she was lucky enough to find a job where all her musical dreams began. Since 1998 she has taught band at each of the elementary schools in Mounds View at various times. She currently teaches at Pinewood, Island Lake and Turtle Lake.
