A 1 page Resume will be required for all contestants uploaded prior to SLSC for their competitions. Failure to submit resume will result in -10pt deduction from final scorecard. Resume Template for all levels -Download resume template for SLSC.
Submit Your Resume:
SkillsUSA Montana provides an online tool for competitors to upload their resumes for the State Technical Committee. Competitors may begin submitting resumes Feb 1, 2026.
SkillsUSA Montana SLSC competitors will have until 8 p.m. MT on Monday March 31, 2026 to submit their resume. Failure to submit a resume may result in a score penalty of -10pts.
*Starting this year 2026 resumes will no longer be accepted in person- unless stated on your Technical Standard or MT contest description
Example: Job interview, states to bring two extra printed copies to the contest. Photography requires one, and so on.
You will need to submit resumes and safety letter individually under this format:
Your submissions must be saved as individual PDF file types using the file name format of “Your Last Name_Your First Name_DocumentType.” For example, “Amanda Smith” would save the each individual PDF submission files as:
· Smith_Amanda_Resume
· Smith_Amanda_Safety
Note: Not all competitions require the safety letter you should have referred to your technical standards for your contest and should have a copy in hand of this year's technical standard, if not please obtain one, if a safety letter is required for your contest it will be noted on there. Upload only (USB or photos of the resume in person will NOT BE ACCEPTED)

SkillsUSA Montana will be offering Technical Assessments using the online testing platform through the SkillsUSA National Office. This platform allows competitors to take the written assessment portion of their contest online, prior to the start of SLSC. Any accommodations needed for testing must be requested by March 1, 2026. i.e. Special needs accommodations language, text to speech, reader provided.
Along with the Competition assessment, students will see a SkillsUSA Professional Development Test. This will be REQUIRED for SLSC.

Once a student is registered for the State Skills & Leadership Conference, they will be issued a user ID (Member #) and password to take their tests. Make sure they have a good email address entered when students are registered, one email per student.

Students competing in the following events will also need to take a online written test. All tests are part of the Final Contest score. Test will be available online some may be given in person. Watch your personal email for Usernames and passwords, follow user guide tips and info. If it kicks you out, your test will be sent in as is and that score will count, follow instructions in user guide. If you open another tab, the test knows and will kick you out. Tests cannot be re-issued.
