Don't miss the live Delegate zoom training featuring our very own State Officer Advisor Courtney Bennett!!
SkillsUSA is a student-led organization, whereby student members are charged with the responsibility of governing the affairs associated within the organization Bylaws.
The SkillsUSA Montana Delegate Program engages chapter-identified delegates to represent their respective chapters in introducing, debating, modifying and voting upon delegate items that may include organization Bylaws, and the SkillsUSA Montana state officer elections. Delegates receive training to develop their responsibility and decision-making skills while building their peer network throughout the delegate processes. The Delegate Program helps achieve the SkillsUSA mission by ensuring that delegates can:
• Demonstrate the Essential Elements of Responsibility and Decision Making to make informed decisions by engaging in training about the decision-making process and implementing the steps through the delegate process.
• Collaborate with peer delegates to analyze organizational goals, consider state-level needs and provide input that represents their state's student membership and contributes to the achievement of the national organization mission.
The Delegate Program will be held April 5, 2025, at the CMR high school auditorium as a part of the State Leadership and Skills Conference. Chapters are entitled to student delegates commensurate with their membership to represent the views of their chapter within the structure of the Montana House of Delegates. The duties of the delegates are important to the operation of the organization. Therefore, the selection process for voting delegates must be seriously considered to ensure that the voting delegates are aware of their duties and will carry them out diligently.
