Thursday, October 28, 2021 is picture day.

Here are the highlights from the week!

• We have started a new reading unit called Word Detectives. Each day this past week, there has been an envelope in the classroom with reading missions. We have been asked to look closely at the words we are reading. Also, we are checking the words in our books to be sure we are reading them correctly from the start of the word until the end.

• In Writer's Workshop we have been exploring all kinds of poems.

• In Math we are working on a challenging concept. The counting on for subtraction concept is an important strategy so that children can learn the connection between addition and subtraction. We will be working on this concept this week as well.

• In Social Studies we are working on including others. During the week we have celebrated what makes us different.
