Summer Camp Opportunities

Attending a music camp is a great way to continue improving your skills on your instrument, make new friends, and get to play music with others over the summer. We encourage you to check out these websites below as you're looking at summer activities for your student.

2024 Camps and Dates

Highlander Strings Camp June 10-14 (4-6th graders) Hickory Hill Academy Madison, Wisconsin

Offers large ensemble and small ensemble experiences in addition to opportunities for games and outdoor fun! The day camp is held daily from 8:30 AM- 12:00 PM. Wrap around care is available in the afternoons from 12:00-3:00 PM for an additional cost and includes lunch.

WISTA Summer Orchestra Camps June 23-25 or June 26-28 (4-6th graders only) Camp Whitcomb Mason Hartland, WI

Offers large group orchestra rehearsals, small ensemble sectionals, and movement/Orff classes. Recreational activities include canoeing, swimming, and nature activities. A final concert sums up the three day experience.

Fantastic Folk and Fiddle Workshops & Festival August Dates TBA (ages 10-15) MYArts, 1055 East Mifflin Street and Lake Farm County Park Madison, WIEducational workshops with Madison's own Madfiddler, Shauncey Ali and the opportunity to perform with MadFiddle. Open to all violin, viola, cello, and bass students. Information on website not yet updated as of late February 2024.
