This is a team taught course where Social Studies and English teachers work together in interdisciplinary projects. We have large and small group activities that bring students together to make the concepts and course material come alive to establish powerful learning connections. One such example is the United Nations Project.
Students are placed into groups of four across all the various Social Science 9 classes and are assigned a nation in conflict where they go and serve as delegates in a mock U.N.
