SB 247

Preventing Childhood Lead Poisoning from Paint and Water

In 2018, Governor Sununu signed SB247 - Preventing childhood lead poisoning from paint and water. The bill requires that all New Hampshire schools test lead in drinking water at all locations where water is available for consumption by children every 5 years until at least 3 rounds of testing has been below the standard and to communicate the results to parents and guardians.

As a proactive effort, district wide lead testing was completed in September of 2016. The results from the 2016 testing can be found here.
