Before and Afterschool Programs

Students in Manchester schools have the opportunity to participate in a variety of before and after school programs across the city. Some of those programs are located at the schools, while others are offered at other locations. All of the programs are coordinated and managed by community partner organizations, not the school district. Please contact the organizations listed below with questions and registration information.

21 Century Program on site at: Bakersville, Beech, Gossler, Hallsville, Hillside, McDonough, McLaughlin, Northwest, Parker-Varney, Parkside, Southside, Wilson

Boys and Girls Club of Manchester: (On site at Jewett and Highland-Goffe's Falls) Transportation provided from other schools, please see their website for more information.

New Morning Schools:

Before and Afterschool Programs at Hallsville, Northwest, Parker-Varney, Smyth Road (Opens at 7 AM) (Closes at 5:30 PM)

Afterschool only: McDonough School (Closes at 5:30PM)


YMCA:

BEFORE & AFTER SCHOOL CARE | GRADES K - 5

Offered on-site at Green Acres, Webster, and Weston schools.

With a focus on safety, health, social growth and academic enhancement, before and after school programs procvide a variety of programmatic and activity options to explore and develop their interests and talents.

AFTER SCHOOL CARE | GRADES K - 5

This after school enrichment program is held at the YMCA of Downtown Manchester with convenient 3 and 5 day options available. Children who attend the following schools McDonough*, Highland*, Northwest*, Smyth Road*, Bakersville, Jewett St, Gossler Park, Hallsville, Parker Varney, and Polaris Charter School are transported to the YMCA. *Transportation from these schools is provided for grades 1-5 only.
