CLICK HERE FOR A LIST OF COMMUNITY SERVICE/JOB SHADOW CONTACTS
When students are completing the job shadow and community service requirements of the graduation project, they are not only representing themselves, but also their families and the school district. Students are required to maintain appropriate behavior while in the public setting and be punctual to their service or shadow location. Students are expected to make contacts for their own job shadow experience and community service. When discussing job shadows or community service with the contact person, students are encouraged to discuss appropriate dress and expectations the contact person will have. Professional dress is encouraged when job shadowing. Job shadow experiences may not be performed in OCHS, OCMS, or Venango County Vo-Tech, and job shadowing a parent is not permitted due to prior exposure to the parents’ position. Students will write a short paragraph about their experience following the job shadow or community service in accordance with the information below in order to receive credit. The guidance office will also maintain a data base of contacts the students may access to find job shadows or community service opportunities.
