If a senior does not complete all the requirements by the due date, will he or she be allowed to present during the last two weeks of May?
No. Any senior who does not have all the requirements of the graduation project completed by the due date will not be able to present during May. He or she will be assigned a summer presentation.
If I wasn't at OCHS for a year during my graduation project, do I need to make up the requirements?
No. If you were not a student at OCHS you will not have to make up the requirements you missed. The only exception to that is if a student enters OCHS during his/her senior year. He or she will need to complete two job shadows for his/her senior paper.
Can I complete community service or job shadows in the summer?
Community service hours can be completed any time during a student's school career. Once a student has completed 16 hours of community service, they have finished this requirement.
Can I help my parents/grandparents/friends out and have it count toward community service?
No. Community service must be performed through a recognized community agency.
Can I job shadow my parents, a teacher at OCHS, OCMS, or Vo-Tech?No. Students are not permitted to job shadow parents or teachers at OCHS, OCMS, or Vo-Tech.
