My name is Ken Giordano, and this is my 19th year in the Madison School District and my 10th year at MTA.
I grew up as a child in Long Island New York. I received my Undergraduate degree in Music Education from the Crane School of Music at Potsdam College in New York. I then found my first teaching job in the Hyde Park School District in upstate New York, where I taught grades 4-6 Band and K-5 Music and Chorus for 7 years. During that time, I received my Graduate degree in Educational Psychology from Marist College in Poughkeepsie New York. I then moved out to Arizona to be closer to my parents and for the nicer weather. This is when I found the Madison School District , for which I have been a proud teacher with this district for the past 19 years.
My primary instrument is the trumpet, which I have played since I was in the 5th grade. Family is very important to me and my hobbies include salt water aquariums, flight simulator pilot, and radio controlled cars, and planes. I was the recipient of the "Distinguished Educator Award" in 2016 given by the Flinn Foundation and presented to me by a former Madison Meadows student and received the District's "You Make A Difference" Award in February 2020.
I am excited to be a part of the MTA community and I look forward to working with you and your child while encouraging a love for music.
