Mrs. Michelle
Hello Friends! My name is Michelle Hodges and I am lucky to be one of the Developmental Preschool Teachers. I am a Sun Devil at heart and earned both my Bachelor's and Master's from Arizona State University.
My teaching career started in 2006 in which I have taught middle school science, social studies, language arts, as well as being the first Dyslexia & Literacy Intervention Specialist for the state of Arizona. These experiences led to my current pursuit of my Ed.D focusing on dyslexia and special education policy at Grand Canyon University.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and caring for my zoo of critters, 3 dogs, 2 cats, and a saltwater aquarium. My husband and I are huge foodies and enjoy finding new tasty dishes around the state of Arizona.
You can find me singing and dancing with my students in room B 121 or call me at 602-664-7831.
Mrs. Jenny
Hello, my name is Jenny Block. I was born and raised in Covina, California. I moved to Arizona to attend Arizona State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Shortly thereafter, I married my husband of 17 years. I stayed home with our two boys for 9 years and started working at Heights when my youngest son went off to full day kindergarten. This is my fifth year with the preschool.
It is such a joy to come to school each day and play, sing, make crafts, and share snacks with our students. I love this job because it doesn't feel like “work” to me. Rather, it feels like home away from home.
