Group Training Opportunities: Building Essential Knowledge and Skills
All child care leaders and teachers need foundational knowledge and preparation to support and deliver high-quality instruction. ON TRACK by 5 Alliance actively builds the skills of teachers and leaders in the foundational aspects of the Louisiana Development and Learning Standards, CLASS (Classroom Assessment measuring Teacher-Child Interactions, and TS GOLD (Child Assessment).

The LPSS Vermilion Conference Center located at 326 Gauthier Road, Lafayette, LA serves as the main training site. Training's are offered in the evenings and on Saturdays to facilitate access to professional development for child care professionals. Examples of training modules could include: child development, learning environments/room arrangement, positive guidance, transitions, child assessment, and classroom assessment.
Differentiated Coaching: Supporting Teachers and Leaders through Practice-Based Coaching and Targeted Technical Assistance
All child care leaders and teachers need ongoing feedback and support to improve. ON TRACK by 5 Alliance actively improves center readiness through targeted coaching and consultation focusing on job-embedded professional development and center-specific needs in order to maintain high-quality learning environments for children.
ON TRACK by 5 Alliance provides both Technical Assistance and Differentiated Coaching to all publicly funded child care centers in Lafayette Parish. The differentiated coaching methodology can support implementation of the Early Learning and Development Standards (ELDS), Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS), and Teaching Strategies GOLD (TS GOLD).
ON TRACK by 5 Alliance also assists child care centers to correct deficiencies identified by Licensing as being out of compliance.
