Sonntag 19 April

Munich & Maria-Ward-Gymnasium

After breakfast provided at our hotel, we have a morning rehearsal prior to our Service Participation and Concert at Herz Jesu Kirche.

Hi friends! I'm still not sure that I believe that we are in Germany! This hotel is so cute! It was weird that the windows had no screens like what if a bird just flew into the window?!?!? I keep forgetting that they don't speak English here (even though they do) and we are trying to find the longest German word! I'm so excited for our first real performance! I just wish I wasn't sick! - Lauren

Hey! So as I woke up this morning, I discovered that I have become officially, 100% sick. I might be allergic to travel because this always seems to happen when I have a big awesome trip. It seems like there are other people who are also sick or getting sick, and I've started calling us the Sick Squad. The goal is for everyone to be a member by the end of the trip. Lyrics is a family! We share everything, even illnesses :) - Angelina

Good morning friends!! Breakfast was so filling and featured a lot of meat. It would be very hard to be a vegetarian here. I also got stuck between the elevator doors twice today...I need to learn how to say "excuse me" in German. There is art everywhere in this hotel and it's so so cool! Everywhere I look is a new piece. Lauren and I tried to watch TV this morning (aka Disney Channel) and we were able to understand some of it. Right now we are off to a church so I have to say goodbye now! - Kelly

I might not be allergic to travel, but allergies are killing me right now. Every time I look at a light I see a halo around it, oops. I don't even care. Everything is so beautiful here, even the city. There are flowers on rooftops and birds are singing; I feel like I'm in a Disney movie. Also for whatever reason the hotel has the cutest dog that I've ever seen and I think we should bring it home with us! Anyways, we're off to our first performance. So excited!!!!!!!! - Carli

We love the unusual furniture in our hotel lobby!

Service at 10:30 am with concert to follow at 11:30 am.

After lunch, we visit the Maria-Ward-Gymnasium (a private high school). At 4 pm we have a joint choral workshop with the MWG Chamber Choristers, and have dinner together this evening.

Hi! We're having a great time here. We performed in a modern church with unrivaled acoustics. We also learned that German women are beautiful. - Tanner and Anthony
