On Saturday morning we arrive in Amsterdam and connect into Munich. We will meet our tour manager, load our coach and transfer to our hotel. Dinner is provided at a nearby restaurant. Willkommen in Deutschland!

Flight #KL 1797 departs from Amsterdam at 3:35 pm, arrives in Munich at 5:00 pm

During our layover in Amsterdam, we had a little time for blogging.

Good afternoon! We finally landed in Amsterdam after a long flight, BUT the fact that they had very good TV shows available (ie all of Game of Thrones) made it better. Everything here is so sunny and clean and there are tulips everywhere!!! It was my first time flying across the ocean, which is awesome because we definitely flew over whales and sharks and dolphins. Our next flight will bring us right to Munich, and then the real part of the trip begins. Our flight leaves soon, so I’ll say goodbye for now!! (Also, coffee here is a LOT stronger than back at home) – KN

As I’m writing this, it is 2:08 pm in Amsterdam; however, in America it’s 8:08 am. For lack of a better word, this is insane. I can’t believe I’m actually on the other side of the world. Well, close enough anyway. I am so happy that I’m almost in tears (again). Everyone is so nice, and this country is so beautiful. To Macho, Mommy, and Michael, I wish you guys were here. I love you all so much. Don’t have too much fun in the states without me! –CCG

Well. We’ve arrived in Amsterdam. Although we still have another flight to get to Munich, it’s starting to set in. We are here on our large family vacation ready for many adventures. I just wanted to say thank you to my family for everything that they sacrificed to make this trip possible. I am SO grateful and blessed to have this opportunity. I will continue to say thank you over and over again, but it will never be enough words to describe how thankful I am. I’m so super excited for this week. MF handed me this laptop just as I shut my eyes, but at this point I’m so exhausted I don’t think another three minutes of typing will do too much damage. I tried to sleep on the plane, I honestly did, but I’m just so excited/anxious/happy/everything that my mind wouldn’t let me. Being a senior really elevates the intensity of everything -- especially emotions -- and this trip is truly the best way to go out on my senior year. So far all we’ve done is fly planes and I’m already going crazy with happiness and sentiment. Can’t wait for whatever else this week holds. (P.S. Hi Mom and Dad!!) ~SL

We’re in Amsterdam yayyayayyay I didn’t really sleep on our flight here because I didn’t have someone to sleep on (I sat next to an absolutely beautiful French couple) so now I’m really tired and my neck hurts but hey whatevskies I’m probably going to sleep on the flight to Munich (hopefully). Glouoten tag, Evy Baby and Jfelds here reporting from Schpopel International Airport. We landed! All the Europeans are really tall and blonde. There’s lots of soccer stuff. Too many coins. We miss our respective famiglia. Running low on rations, moral is low after the Tet Offensive. I fear that the men may be becoming restless. Charlie Sheen was great in platoon. Martin Sheen was great in the Breakfast Club. The end of Toy Story 3 was sad. Green Eggs and Ham is a revolutionary work of literature that inspired the masses. The sophomores are acting rather sophomoric. Our exhaustion is the reason for the format of this post. Send help.

HELLO EVERYONE Cecilia and Rohini here. We are currently at our gate at the Amsterdam airport, and when we went to get lunch all of the Europeans were so well dressed and classy and blonde and we appreciated it. Our initial flight to Amsterdam was definitely an interesting adventure, but we all made it in one piece thankfully. CANT WAIT TO GET TO MUNICH WOOOO also Jfelds and Evy Baby are weird.

Hi friends and fam, greetings from Lucy and Olivia!!!

After a sleepy yet interesting flight, we finally landed in Amsterdam. Everyone here is super foreign and tall and blonde, Europeans are pretty cool. This airport is very clean and sophisticated with lots of cool little statues/paintings and shops. Right now we’re all anxious to take off and land in Munich to start the first leg of our epic journey. Spirits are high yet we all want some rest and a shower. Can’t wait to get to Germany and start making music and mems.

Tonight we had dinner at The Augustiner, a restaurant that has been open in Munich since 1328. We think it's possible that Orlandus Lassus might have eaten there in the 16th century. We HAD to sing "O du lieber Augustin," and the patrons gave us a huge round of applause.
