LF Certification Exam Coupon Code Distribution and Registration Process

LF provides an ATP with a batch of unique 1-time use coupon codes for a specific exam (LFCS , CKA, etc). Because each coupon code is created for a specific exam, the ATP must be careful to select a coupon code matching the intended exam – (LFCS , CKA, etc) – when distributing the coupon to a recipient.

The ATP should use the applicable email template below to distribute a coupon code to a recipient.

As per the email template, each recipient must register for the exam using their personal Linux Foundation ID account. The recipient is instructed to use the coupon code towards an exam registration within 1 month of receipt. When the recipient adds their coupon code to the checkout page for the exam registration, it will discount the exam registration fees by 100%.

The coupon codes will be shared with the ATP via a Google spreadsheet or email, with separate columns to indicate the specific exam for which each coupon is created and the expiration date of each coupon.

The ATP may use the shared spreadsheet to track when a coupon code has been given out (i.e. assigned) to a recipient, or they may choose to track via their own doc/system. In either case, when an ATP is running out of un-assigned coupon codes or coupon codes with more than 1 month of usability, they should reach out to LF to request a new batch of coupon codes.

Email Template for (LFCS , CKA, etc) Exam Coupon Code

To register for the Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator (XXX) Exam, please use the following coupon code _________. The code expires in one (1) month, so be sure to register for the XXX Exam before then. Once registered, you'll have 12 months to sit for the Exam.

Here’s how to get register for the XXX exam:

• 1. Go to the XXX Exam webpage and click on the “Register for Exam” button in the right margin. You will be prompted to login or create a Linux Foundation ID account..

  2. Once logged in, you’ll be taken to the checkout page. Add the code to the coupon code field.

  3. Once the coupon has been successfully added, the balance due will be $0. Proceed with checkout.

NOTE: The coupon code is single use, so once you’ve added it to the cart, you must complete the transaction as the code cannot be reused.
