Bard House: Short Story Coffee Hour: Honors I English Exposé

Freshman Honors Bard House: Short Story Coffee Hour

Every year the Honors class writes short stories after studying the Elements of Literature and implementing those learned tools in stories of their own creation. This academic activity culminates into a shared one with parents, extended family, friends, faculty and staff during a night of readings. Each class chooses a peer's full-length story to be read aloud and the remaining students plan a teaser to be read aloud. The evening is entirely orchestrated by the students, including MCs who create their own script to keep the evening flowing. The links at the bottom of the page will tie you into the most recent Coffee Hour as well as the archival files of the past years, including its first year of 2012-13, when this idea moved from the classroom to the public setting.
