Typing Skills: All are free typing sites that will help improve basic typing skills.

Coding: All are free sites that students can use to become more familiar with some coding skills.

• https://www.codeforlife.education/play/rapid-router/ (*NEW to me. BIG FAN of the lessons*)

Word processing skills:

• Type an email to a family member or teacher.
  • Remember to use proper grammar, put something in the subject like, use proper beginning and ending to the email. (Dear __________, Have a great week, ____________)
• Start writing in a journal, but rather than writing type it. You can save it in your Google Drive:
  • Create a folder: Each day write in it about what you have been doing and things that have been happening, just like a journal.
  • Maybe you only do it during the Covid shut down. Then when you graduate in a few years you can go look back at this crazy time!
• Write a book review or movie review:
  • Students that had 7th grade Tech in the first three quarters did this, but could do it again!
  • Read a book or watch a movie and you be the critic! Tell us what you give us a summary, tell us what you liked and didn't like, then tell us if you would recommend the book/movie to someone else and why! Finally come up with a rating scale similar to 4 out of 5 stars or something like that. BE CREATIVE!
  • When you are finished send it out to me and others. I am always looking for good books and movies, or ones to stay away from!
  • IF you really want to take it up a notch, write it out then make a video review!!
  • REMEMBER DON'T GIVE AWAY THE IMPORTANT PARTS IN THE STORY/MOVIE....NO SPOILERS!

Please remember to take time away from your devices during your non-school time. It is important to create good habits. If you are on your device use it for good. Find ways to stay active through online workouts or online "how to" videos.
