First Year M.O.O.V. is an exciting time for our campus! Although we acknowledge that it is an exhausting day, we’ve created a process to ensure an efficient and energizing experience for our families and our volunteers. Please read the following steps to learn how the process works. At any time, things might need to change so we appreciate your flexibility.
Arrival at Iacocca:
The first stop is at Iacocca Hall on the Mountaintop campus for check-in between 8:00 am - 10:30 am.
Students will get the orientation schedule, their class schedule, and specific residence hall move-in instructions.
Key Pick-up
Students will also receive their key packet at Iacocca during check-in.
Each student must show a photo ID to receive their Lehigh ID card, sign out their room key, and get general information about the residence halls.
Getting to the Residence Halls
After checking in, families will leave Mountaintop Campus and follow the colored-specific routes to their assigned residence hall.
Each driver will be provided a color-coded card to be kept on their dashboard, which will indicia the color arrows to watch for.
Move-in
There will be faculty, staff, alumni, and members of various student organizations unpacking the vehicle.
All personal items should be labeled with the student’s full name and assigned building/room number.
Parking
The driver should remain with the vehicle while it’s being unloaded. Once the vehicle is empty, we ask that the driver to move it to the family parking area.
Follow the black arrows with a “P” to appropriate parking areas.
PreLUsion Begins
PreLUsion programming begins at noon with a Welcome Lunch at Lower Court in the University Center. Please refer to your specific PreLUsion program schedule. Students should lock their residence hall room and be prepared for the day.
*Parents - please prepare as you will not be able to get back into the residence halls without your student.

Volunteers working check-in should reports to Iacocca Hall at 7:45 am and park in the commuter lot.
These volunteers will work the check-in tables confirming arrivals and giving out residence hall directions.
Key Pick-up
M.O.O.V. volunteers will serve as check-in personnel.
When students arrive volunteers, will check photo IDs, hand out room keys, give our Lehigh ID cards, and provide information about residence hall resources.
Getting to the Residence Halls
These volunteers will be directing the vehicles to the appropriate buildings based on the color-coded cards on the dashboard of the vehicles.
Volunteers will also be given a walkie-Talkie in case there are questions along the way!
Move-in
When a car pulls up, these volunteers will begin assisting by carrying belongings to the appropriate room.
All items should be labeled with the student’s name and room number. Please ensure the items are placed inside the bedroom; we do not want anything to get lost.
Parking
These volunteers are crucial in keeping the parking lots moving. These members are tasked with ensuring that each arriving driver remains with the car for relocation.
Volunteers may be required to walk from lots to residence hall rooms to help locate these owners to ensure the car is moved.
PreLUsion Begins
Volunteers, we thank you for your time! On Thursday during traditional Move-in, a picnic lunch is provided for students and parents on the UC Lawn from 11:30am-1:30pm.
All M.O.O.V. Volunteers are welcome to join us for lunch!
