About Mrs. Hanson

I am married to Scott, and we have two children, MaKenna and Kinser.  I am 1992 graduate of Lake Mills High School, and a 1996 graduate of Wartburg College, in Waverly, IA.  I have a B.A. in Elementary Education with endorsements in K-8 Math and K-8 Reading.  In 2000, I began taking classes in Early Childhood Education to add a PK-K Early Childhood endorsement to my teaching license.  I finished the Early Childhood coursework in the summer of 2011, and at this time I don't plan on completing the PK-K student teaching portion of the endorsement because I'm right where I want to be!

One of the unique things about teaching in the school that I attended Kindergarten through 12th grade is the fact that I am teaching in the exact same classroom I went to first grade in.  The walls are a different color, the chalkboards are now white boards, flooring and cupboards have gotten an update, there are tables instead of desks, but it is still one of the best places to be!
