Canada: Scholarships & Financial aids

EduCanada - International Scholarships

Are you an international student in search of scholarships to study in Canada?  On this website, you will find awards for international students and scholars in Canada, offered by Canadian governments, NGOs and international organizations.

ScholarshipsCanada.com is part of the SchoolFinder Group.  The site has been helping students find scholarships since 1997.

Universities Canada - Scholarship Search

Universities Canada is a joint effort of Canadian universities.  It is a membership organization providing university presidents with a unified voice for higher education, research and innovation.   Its website has a search function for scholarship partners in Canada

Whether you're a Canadian national or international student looking for scholarships at University of Alberta, check its website to find out more.

Trent University - Entrance Scholarship

To better support their aspirations to study in Canada, and as an encouragement, we have introduced an exclusive ESF Scholarship Scheme for your graduating students.

Under this scheme, students who register and enrol at Trent in September 2021 would be eligible for an automatic CAD1,000 award. This award may be combined with any of our entrance scholarships. This scheme is only open to international students (i.e., those requiring a study permit to study in Canada), and the amount would be credited to their financial accounts in their first year of study.

Application deadline for our prestigious Global Citizen Scholarships and Awards, a renewable award valued between CAD2,000 to 25,000, is on 15 February 2020. Students who are interested to apply for this award (and we strongly encourage them to!) should submit their programme applications no later than the last week of January.

McGill University

McGill’s Scholarships and Student Aid Office offers a merit-based Entrance Scholarship Program and a need-based Entrance Bursary Program for all newly accepted, first-year, first-degree undergraduate students.

Students will need to submit separate applications (via Minerva) to be considered for these programs.  Consult the above links for application details.

All students are encouraged to explore the full range of funding opportunities available to them. We also highly recommend our Frugal Scholar Money Management Program that can help you with financial planning and debt management.
