An action-packed adventure over 6 days in Oman. As soon as we touch-down in Muscat, Oman's capital, we'll head straight for the coast to enjoy snorkelling and swimming, followed by breakfast and dolphin-watching aboard our Dhow. From there we'll load up the 4x4 trucks and head up into the mountains for our first night camping, providing spectacular views under a blanket of stars. Our journey continues on treacherous dirt roads and goat tracks, passing through isolated villages and beehive tombs. We'll reach the Wahiba Sands, where the 4x4 trucks speed through the desert to a Bedouin camp for Omani coffee and dates. Dinner each night is provided by our resident chefs, providing a range of Omani delicacies for all diets. The following day sees us reach Wadi Bani Khalid for a 6km canyoning trip; scrambling across rocks, jumping onto crystal blue pools and climbing steep cliffs. Not for the faint-hearted! The reward for reaching the end is a night with the Bedouin in the desert. Camel riding surrounded by curious dung beetles, fixed-tent accommodation with private showers that are open under the stars and a luxurious Omani barbeque create a magical atmosphere. We then head high into the mountains for 2 nights wild-camping. An early-morning rise leads to a busy day hiking along a Wadi edge to an abandoned village, abseiling a dry waterfall 1000 metres above the Wadi floor, and rock-climbing back to the top. A campfire rounds off the day with more star-gazing. The final day sees us visit Nizwa the ancient Omani capital city, with its iconic fort and souk to buy gifts, before heading to our hotel-base in Muscat for a shower, followed by shopping in the maze-like bazaars and dinner on the Corniche. An early-morning flight leaves Oman behind us before landing in Hong Kong that evening.

Action: This trip will challenge all students to be daring and courageous, developing teamwork skills from pitching tents through to braving the heights of the abseil, and trying their hand at a range of extreme activities. All the activities are completely safe, provided you follow the guidance of our professional leaders at all times.
Service: To promote responsible tourism, we will be conducting a range of activities during the trip to reduce any negative impacts that we might have upon Oman during our stay. This will include litter picks at each camp and activity site, interaction with local communities, and opportunities to support local Omani produce.
